Demon leads the way in cleaning Londons streets

Demon International showed a new level of street cleaning to Westminster City Council recently. A Demon Cyclone 300SS trailer mounted pressure washer, made exclusively for Nomix Enviro, the UK’s leading weedkiller supplier, was shown along with the innovative Rotowash that enables extreme cleaning performance with minimal over spray, which allows cleaning during the day, in busy pedestrian areas such as Westminster. The task set by the council was to remove gum and sanitize the pavement thoroughly, without chemicals and without damage to the limestone paving. Firstly Demon’s chewing gum tool was used with hot water to quickly break down the gum spots, then the Rotowash was used, first at low pressure and then increasing the pressure to make sure no damage was done to the pavement. The result was a thoroughly clean pavement free of all gum, oil and rubber residue. Indeed the Rotowash was able to clean right to the edges of the stone kerbstones thanks to it unique two-position wheel design. The Cyclone Range, available exclusively from Nomix Enviro of Bristol, designed and manufactured by Demon International is an integrated cleaning system with 1000 litre baffled water tank and 4000psi @ 21 litres per minute performance which is more than adequate for most cleaning tasks. With over an hours operating time on one fill this one’s a real go anywhere machine. The system is designed to operate using no chemicals and derives all its cleaning power from water alone. With a noise level of just 71 Dba this makes the Cyclone system the most environmentally friendly package for public area cleaning tasks available.
